One of Hubert’s team chose to paint her story. It tells of her life back home, where her mother, grandmother,
and aunt would pick ripe mangos from the trees, laying them out on bright, colourful sheets for people to buy.
She remembers the happy chatter of the women, the scent of fresh fruit, and herself playing nearby. It is a
treasured childhood memory, made bittersweet by the fact that she can no longer see her mother.
