A Greek stray found with a badly damaged leg, which never fully recovered, and who eventually died of heart failure, but in between brought so much joy and lived life to the full!

Max my beautiful warrior, true and brave,

So much love you always gave.

To so many faces you brought a smile,

With your cute little hop, did you beguile.

Reaching for you now is like trying to catch moonlight,

But in my heart, I’ll always hold you tight.

You brought light to my darkest days,

Like the brightest of sun rays.

Loving you, goodbye was always the cost,

But nothing you love is ever lost.

Now you are part of everything,

As you have gone to get your wings.

Part of the earth, wind, sun and rain,

Never again will you be in pain.

Now my love it’s time to sleep well,

And stay by my side as an angel.
