The lighthouse is symbolic of many things… of strength and fortitude, of safety, of light and hope guiding us through dark and stormy times. It is a source of optimism and better times ahead. All these attributes are pertinent to the uncertain world which we live in today
About Andy
Andy Cockeram lives in the beautiful county of Devon in south-west England. After retirement from a career in corporate life in the motor industry, Andy spends much of his time walking in the Devon countryside, indulging in his two passions, art and military history. As chairman of the British Modern Military History Society, Andy and his team have raised many thousands of pounds for military charities through talks and the publication of 3 books in it Glimpses of War series. Three years ago he also started taking art lessons locally not having painted for over 45 years, and loves to paint coastal scenes particularly in acrylic. Andy lives with his wife Jane and their cat Rapha, and has 2 grown up children who live near London.
