Although we may never meet
To my dear friends in Kakuma,
I wanted to send you this letter to let you know that myself and people around the world are thinking of you with kindness, compassion and hope.
Although we may never meet, although one day I hope to, I wanted you to know that your strength, courage and resilience inspires many people far beyond the camp itself. Even during difficult times, the human spirit has an incredible ability to keep going, to support others, and to hold onto hope for a better future.
Please remember that your lives matter deeply. Your stories, talents, dreams and voices all matter.
I know life may sometimes feel uncertain or difficult, but I hope you continue to find moments of friendship, creativity, learning, laughter and peace wherever possible. Small moments of kindness and hope can carry great strength.
Learning more about Kakuma touched my heart deeply and inspired me to support awareness and charitable causes connected to the camp through my book, Creative Souls.
I simply wanted to send a message of encouragement and remind you that people are thinking of you, you are not forgotten, and wishing you love and hope for a better future.
With much love, warmth and respect,
Jackie Lowe Xx
