Courage

Here is a poem / song called Courage.

I know you need so much more courage than we do and face such different conditions for hope, but I hope this brings some sense of compassion from me to you from my heart full of love.  Tasha x

Courage, is that your name?

Wrap your cloak around my frame.

Stay with me don’t let me fall, fall, fall…

Back to where I was before.

Tides please wash old seeds away.

So Courage can stay with me more than one day.

You took your time, but now I got you,

I will give you all you choose.

Chorus

Times and time again, I have called to you.

Time and time again you did come.

With kisses of comfort

And words of wisdom.

Cruel winds have blown in winter-times

Kept me curled inside my home.

Where dark brown eyes lie sleeping.

Sacred, as a stone.

Light then cuts through morning windows.

To the sound of a calling bird.

I dream awake to a new day.

I watch as you Courage uncurl. Courage

Courage? Is that your name?

Hold your cloak around my frame and run

Run, run to places

I have never been before

And I will follow when you call.

Run, run, run to places

I have never seen before

And I will follow you when you call.

Chorus

Times and time again, I have called to you.

Time and time again you did come.

You brought me kisses of comfort

And words of wisdom.

Time – and time I have called to you.

To hold my trembling hand.

Carry me over the Everglades

To dance on dry land.

Carry me on to where I belong

and I will give you all you choose.

Carry me. Carry me. Carry me.

Carry me.

Carry me over the Everglades

All the way over the Everglades

To dance on dry land.
