WHAT IS THE KAKUMA ART PROJECT?
The KakumaArt Project is a creative humanitarian initiative supporting adult refugee artists and vulnerable children in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. Through art education, community-building and practical support, the project helps refugees develop confidence, skills, and visibility.
We had a live exhibition of Artists work at The Power of One painting Exhibition held at The Vanner Gallery in Salisbury in September 25. You can see the exhibition pictures here. Refugee Exhibition

All profits after print cost go back to the project.
Working in partnership with Generation Aid Kenya, the project has:
- Delivered regular art workshops to empower refugee artists
- Built The Senga Community Gallery, a creative hub for learning and exhibitions
- Built The Senga Classroom, playground fence, and toilet facilities for an orphan School
- Supported multiple food-pack distributions for families in crisis affected by aid cuts in the camp
- Launched new initiatives including a Legacy Tree Garden and the Artline digital gallery platform
At its core, the project uses creativity as a pathway to dignity, expression, opportunity, and survival.

WHAT IS ARTLINE?
Artline is a series of 10 themed online galleries created to showcase world wide creativity as a tool to generate urgent, practical support for families and refugees in need through our projects.
After the withdrawal of US aid and major cuts to the World Food Programme, thousands of refugees in Kakuma were left facing severe food shortages and uncertainty. Artline was created in direct response to this crisis.
The Galleries
Each gallery features original art, poetry, music, sculpture, kids art, photography, Pet Portraits, Trees, Gardeners & their gardens and Dance. Every donation made through Artline directly supports:
Food packs for vulnerable families
Tools and materials for creative education
The continued development of community spaces like The Senga Gallery and The Senga Classroom
Artline is more than an online gallery – it is a lifeline, transforming creativity into real-world impact for people facing extreme hardship.
